All of the O2
mobile broadband packages come with inclusive WiFi, which in
some cases can make the package look extremely attractive.
Offering over 7,500 hotspots around the UK from The Cloud
and BT Openzone, you can browse via WiFi at various
locations, including most McDonald’s restaurants, major
airports and train stations. This is a welcome inclusion, as
we’ve already mentioned, 3G coverage from O2 is the poorest
of all UK networks.
Pricing for all the USB Modem contract options on O2 is standard,
whether you sign a 24 month, 18 month or rolling 30 day
contract:

£14.69 Monthly Cost with a 3GB allowance and unlimited
WiFi
£29.38 Monthly Cost with a 10GB allowance and unlimited WiFi
The actual amount
of data offered is generous, but if you do go over the
inclusive limit, data will be charged at 19.6p per MB.
As well as
contract options, O2 also bring a PAYG option, which has a
three tier pricing structure, similar to that found on
T-Mobile. A £2 daily charge offers 500MB and unlimited WiFi,
£7.50 includes 1GB and unlimited WiFi and £15 offers 3GB and
unlimited WiFi. The packages have two time out limits,
either the amount of time or the amount of data paid for.
